REIKI FAQ
What is REIKI?
REIKI is an ancient healing method that uses universal lifeforce
energy to balance the mind, body and spirit of the person
receiving it.
What are the
qualifications of a REIKI Practitioner?
A REIKI practitioner in the Usui Tradition, has agreed to live
by the REIKI Ideals as set forth by Dr. Mikao Usui and has been
attuned and trained by a REIKI Master Teacher.
Is REIKI a
cult? No, REIKI is not
a cult or religion because it has no dogma. The interaction in a
REIKI session is between REIKI and the recipient, the REIKI
Practioner is the "vessel" or the messenger of this energy and
has no control over it.
Can REIKI
cause harm? REIKI CAN
CAUSE NO HARM. By it's nature, it is only what it is, pure
energy which has been called many names, however, language pales
at the full expression it's description.
Why do
animals need REIKI?
Animals would choose to receive REIKI for the same reason that
humans receive REIKI: there exists an imbalance in either mind,
body, spirit or emotional body that is causing pain or
discomfort in their lives.
How long does
each session last?
Usually sessions last either 30 minutes or one hour, however,
even a five minute session has benefits.
Why is Dr.
Slobody offering REIKI to his clients?
Dr. Slobody realizes the comfort and pain relief offered by
REIKI and is open to exploring alternative ways to treat his
patients to assure them positive experiences and optimum healing
on all levels.
